In July 2015,
The co-founders of Shikksha-Ek-Abhiyan Trust, a working couple, faced a moment that touched their hearts. Their househelp brought along her 6-year-old daughter to work, unable to afford schooling for the child.
They immediately enrolled the little girl in a nearby school, providing her with uniforms, books, and all she needed to learn. But they knew countless other children faced the same struggle.
And so, Shikksha-Ek-Abhiyan Trust was born — today running two Open Schools and helping hundreds more enroll in nearby schools. None of this would have been possible without our generous donors, tireless volunteers, and a committed team driven by genuine care.
Even now, our co-founders visit these schools daily, ensuring teachers, students, volunteers, and resources stay well-managed. It’s a demanding, but essential effort to brighten futures.
